I had the pleasure of providing wedding photography at another fantastic and romantic location in Scotland for Giles and Miriam, Jedburgh Abbey – a ruined 12th century building steeped in history.
The photography started off with Matt taking pictures of the groom and best men while I was just up the street capturing Miriam getting ready.
There are not many weddings at the abbey now, the most famous being the marriage of King Alexander III. Our modern day wedding was to have taken place outside but due to the unpredictable weather was moved at the last moment to a partially enclosed area inside the walls of the abbey. Fortunately the rain mostly stayed away for the Humanist ceremony and the photography afterwards.
We could have stayed all day at the abbey taking photographs, but eventually made our way back to the house for the intimate reception with Gile’s and Miriam’s friends and family.
