Congratulations to Ryan and Nicola on their marriage at Glenbervie House Hotel in Larbert near Falkirk. The weather started very wet but cleared just in time for the wedding leaving us with a great day for photography. We made the most of the venue’s beautiful grounds and fantastic interior. This is certainly on my top ten list of favourite wedding photography locations. Nicola looked stunning in her dress and the groom brushed up fairly well too!

A new venue for us today at New Lanark Mill Hotel for the marriage of David and Lynn. It is part of a restored old mill village that has been tastefully redeveloped as a world heritage site and makes a great location for weddings. Although the day started off dry, unfortunately the weather turned very wet and windy so we were unable to venture outside to capture the surroundings – relying instead on spacious areas indoors for photography.

Two new venues for us at today’s wedding between Emma and Tony. The ceremony was held at Christ the King Chapel and the reception at Pollockshaws Burgh Hall.

Today’s wedding was at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Cardonald for Diarmaid and Theresa. The rain was falling heavily but did nothing to dampen the spirits of the bridal party and guests who made it a wonderful occasion.

After the ceremony, we headed off to the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel for the reception where we captured some more wonderful images. The staircase is a prime feature at the hotel and came in handy for group shots out of the rain.

Congratulations to Vida and Mindaugas who married at 22 Park Circus in Glasgow on a very warm and sunny day.

Despite some humorous difficulty pronouncing the couple’s surnames, the registrar lead ceremony went smoothly. We then made the most of the fine weather by taking a walk to nearby Kelvingrove Park and capturing more great images.

Congratulations to Ross and Lindsay on the marriage at St Joseph’s Church in Helensburgh. The day was a mix of sunshine and heavy showers but didn’t spoil the wedding at all despite a close call with a downpour at the local pier.

The photography coverage we provided on this day was from bridal and groom preparations right through to the first dance. On this occasion we had a principal photographer Stuart Walker, second photographer and a visiting wedding photographer from Ireland. With all the angles covered we captured fantastic images.

An added bonus to the day was the fact that the bride and her family are from Norway, and wore the traditional national dress – the groom and his family wearing the traditional Scottish kilt.

The weather on this day was good, and allowed us to make the most of the Castle’s location.

The reception venue chosen by the couple was the Huntingtower Hotel near Perth – itself an impressive location.

Continuing with a grand theme, the wedding cake was a huge replica of the location of bride and groom’s first meeting – a North Sea oil platform.

Wedding photography coverage concluded with the first dance – a ceilidh that got everyone up onto the dance floor.

We were able to capture some beautiful images of the newlyweds at nearby Hogganfield Loch just before the heavens opened with a torrential downpour.

Back at the hotel, the evening celebrations continued with the first dance.
