Here are some key points to consider when looking for a wedding photographer.

It is absolutely vital that you see a representative sample of the photographer’s own work, either on their website but preferably in print. This is not only to ensure that the images are of a certain technical standard, but also that you like the style of photography.

If at all possible meet with the photographer to discuss your requirements and to see if you actually like them.

Check that they really are ‘professional’ in the legal sense, i.e. are they registered with Inland Revenue, do they have adequate indemnity and liability insurance, do they back-up image files off site for data security?
