Pollokshields Burgh Hall Wedding

20th March 2010

I had the pleasure of returning to Pollokshields Burgh Hall in Glasgow to photograph a wedding, this time for the lovely couple Morag and Russell. The venue is truly one of Glasgow’s hidden gems and Russell commented that once they had visited there, they stopped looking at other venues. With grand stained glass windows, large rooms, easy parking, friendly staff and access to Maxwell Park it isn’t surprising.

The day had a real feeling of spring in the air with warm sunshine and blossoming flowers and this made outdoor photography especially pleasant. Assisted on the day by Matt Cain, we were able to capture a variety of shots.

Later in the evening, the entertainment got off to an excellent start with the first dance before launching into a ceilidh.

So congratulations to Russell and Morag and all the best for the future. Their marriage has certainly got off to a good start, and fingers crossed it won’t be too long before we are back at Pollokshields Burgh Hall for another wedding.
