Dogs are a particular interest to me as a person and photographer. I love doing ‘at home’ studio portraits of dogs. Here are a couple of images from our most recent pet portrait session. Harry the West Highland Terrier. The key to getting a good photograph of any dog (for studio type shots anyway) is to make sure the dog is relaxed and to capture the character of the pet. Capturing the eyes is important, and good lighting from two or more off camera sources is pretty much essential.

Worth a reminder that not only do we enjoy the session, the Dogs Trust benefit from a donation too.
