7th July 2011
Our second wedding of the week took us back to the Lynnhurst Hotel in Johnstone for Ewan and Lorraine. The ceremony was expertly officiated by Humanist celebrant Leslie Milne and as with our previous wedding at the venue, we were able to use some “off camera” lighting to get the best results.
I was pleased to see that Basil, the couple’s dog was there and he finally made an appearance for some photos after hiding for a while after some thunder. The weather also had an impact on us humans but fortunately we had just enough time between downpours to capture a group shot outside before heading back indoors. Having indoor locations to use for wedding photography is an important consideration when choosing a marriage venue in Scotland!
Perhaps the most impressive features of the Lynnhurst are the stained glass windows and the large heavy framed mirror in the bridal suite. We made sure to use these to full effect within the time available to us for photos and could have spent all day capturing great images here.
